Registration open – Home and Nation: Reimagining the Domestic, 1750-1850

Home and Nation: Reimagining the Domestic, 1750-1850

23-24th March, 2013

Keynote speakers: Dr Karen Harvey (Sheffield) & Professor Harriet Guest (York)

Registration for the conference is now open.

Denoting both the home and the nation, the domestic exerts a powerful organisational force upon the formation of gendered, national, and racial identities. This two-day interdisciplinary conference takes stock of recent critical approaches to the subject, in order to revaluate the significance it held within the period 1750-1850.

For further information, please visit the conference website, at http://homeandnation.wordpress.com/, or email the organiser, Dr Richard De Ritter, on: r.deritter@leeds.ac.uk.

Please note that registration closes on Sunday, 17th March.
